Thanks for sharing. I love that Carmen Maria Machado is first on the list. I've only ever read one of her works, The Husband Stitch, and just earlier today was wondering what else she's published.

If you've not given it a go, I highly recommend The Husband Stitch; it's posted online on Granta. A haunting story that's sure to evoke your feminine rage and expand your compassion.

What a fantastic list! I just picked up Dept of Speculation last week and I'm so excited to get to it. I love that Macbeth is on here — I've never read it but I've had it on my shelf for years.

I’m actually starting Summer by Ali Smith, the last of the Seasonal quartet (yes, I’m a little bit behind 😅). But by far Autumn is my favourite from the quartet, will see if Summer exceeds this.

Thank you for the recommendations, I can’t believe I’ve never heard about some of these books, especially Carmilla, looking forward to that one!

Definitely going to read Don’t Look Now!

Dept of Speculation is one of my favorite books. I re-read it periodically which is easy to do because it's so small and it feels like a different book every time. The older I get, the more I appreciate it.
