Wait this is so cuteee. I love how you perfectly encapsulate the feelings of so many of us regarding the new year. These lines really hit hard.

‘I think I’ve always had a habit of denying myself to feel satisfied or happy in a way, unless I think I’ve done something worth commending myself for. And a lot of times, this results in me living life passively, like I’m allowing my brain to go on autopilot, I’m in the backseat of the car, and I’m simply waiting for time to pass.’

Happy New Year! I also started the year sick — telling myself it means 2025 can only get better from there. Love this reflection on resolutions and especially the bit about expecting the worst as a way to protect yourself from disappointment 🫶
