This year, I’ve been making a conscious effort to be mindful in the way I consume media (although I really dislike that phrase). I had a realization at the tail end of last year that my Twitter doomscrolling tendencies have started to affect the way I read and watch and listen to media. In an attempt to remedy this, one of the things I have started doing is prioritizing listening to full albums from start to finish instead of throwing songs into a playlist. When I have time, I like making quick notes about each song and the trajectory of the album in general in my notes app. I do this while going on a long walk where I turn off my data so I don’t get any notifications for a bit.
In light of this, here are some full albums I really enjoy that I think are perfect for late spring and early summer, and my favorite tracks from them. And here is my big spring soundtrack that I’ve been adding to since four-five years ago.
