Oh, my goodness. I recently published a post (my very first on Substack, in fact) that so happens to be about Anne of Green Gables - which saw me through my own winter blues this year - and I wanted to see if anyone else had written about it, too. So I did a search, and this was the top result. I got chills. Your newsletter is what mine wants to be when it grows up. While I’m slightly disheartened I didn’t have an entirely original idea, I’m thrilled we might just be kindred spirits.

Also, I knew some produce have particular seasons in which they taste best (berries, peaches, and tomatoes were the extent of my knowledge), but I’d never considered that rule applies to basically all fruits and veggies! Avocados, mushrooms, and mangoes are some of my favorites. (Come to think of it, I’ve had mushrooms lately that were particularly yummy - and I’ve got some mango waiting to be enjoyed…I better get on that…You’re making me hungry!)

Thanks for the lovely read and all the suggestions of things to explore this season. As I mentioned, I’m a total newbie here, so I’d love for you to check out my post. (Partially, it’s about all my Green Gables favorites - including my preferred version of the book itself and my top Anne adaptions. Since you’re planning on diving into this classic soon anyway, maybe my recommendations will help you find a new way to enjoy it.) Happy springtime!
